Gloucestershire College

About the College

Gloucestershire College has two campuses, one in Princess Elizabeth Way, Cheltenham and the other in Llanthony Road Gloucester. Cheltenham opened in 2003 and Gloucester in 2007. Both are well equipped with one of the largest numbers of computers and active boards in a college in the UK. Facilities include Rivers Fitness Centre and Renaissance Restaurant in Cheltenham and a theatre and sports hall in Gloucester, whilst both campuses have a nursery.

Facilities & Student life

Gloucestershire College has a range of catering outlets and a shop on both sites. There is even a free to use cashpoint machine at Gloucester.

The Youth Events and Sports (YES) team runs a number of social events throughout the year including a Fresher’s events and an end of year party.

They run three Gloscat teams – Netball, Football and Rugby all of which train once a week and play their fixtures on a Wednesday afternoon. Each team has their own fun and friendly coach, Theresa for Netball, Ben for football and Andy & Will for rugby. They all play local Colleges and Sixth Forms throughout the region and this year the Football team are competing in the British Colleges Sport Cup as well as a Worcestershire League. Basketball sessions also run every Wednesday afternoon at GL1.

All our fulltime courses will include visits out to companies and businesses, as well as trips to trade shows and other relevant events. Students are also encouraged to enter competitions both within the college and outside to develop their skills and to win prizes.
