About the College

Swindon College offers a very broad range of study programmes. As well as a thriving Further Education community, the college offers Business Training and Work-Based Learning such as Apprenticeships, part time Adult & Leisure courses and is the largest provider of Higher Education courses in Wiltshire.

Our state-of-the-art, industry-standard facilities, along with a dedicated and professional team of staff, mean that students gain the right skills and experience for their chosen career path. The overwhelming majority of teaching staff at Swindon College have current industry experience in their specialist field.

Currently Swindon College provides quality learning and support for 2,500 full time 16-18 year olds, 500 Higher Education students and 11,000 part time adult (19+) students. For school leavers coming to college for the first time it is the opportunity to step out of school uniform and into an adult learning environment.

We also welcome a number of students from overseas every year and the opportunity for international study exchange and overseas residential trips is available to the majority of students.

Annually, over 200 students go on to study at some of the top universities in the country, while more than 60 students on average will stay on and progress their studies at Swindon College on Degree and HND programmes.

Facilities & Student life

We have a wide range of new and completely refurbished state-of-the-art facilities and services available for use by students, staff and the general public.

Our hands-on approach to vocational training means that the hair salons, beauty salons, restaurant and Little Stars nursery are all run as businesses which are open to the public.
