Masters Degree

What is it?

A Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MSc) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree involves an in-depth study of a specific field which will usually be related to the subject you chose to study for your first / Undergraduate Degree.

Course Content:

The content of a Maters Degree will vary depending on the subject you have chosen which will usually be much more specific than subjects chosen for Undergraduate Degrees.

Duration:

Usually the period of research for a taught Masters is one year on a full time basis, some may take longer. The majority of full time Master Degrees are taken at a university although there are sometimes opportunities for study in partnership with a university through distance learning or online whilst working full time.

Entry Requirements:

Candidates wishing to complete a Masters Degree will normally require a 2:1 or 1st class Degree in a relevant subject. However, it may be the case that a good Honours Degree could be supplemented with work experience to become eligible.
