Event Manager | The MET Brisbane

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced conference and events manager to join our team. The ideal candicdate will be responsible for planning, organising and executing conferences and events of various scales within a nightclub environment with a focus on Latin events.

Benefits

Salary $70,000 to $75,000 per annum plus super

Tasks & responsibilities

Plan and execute events from conception to completion, ensuring all aspecrs run smoothly and meet objectives.

Develop and maintain relatiosnhips with vendors, sponsors and partners in the entertainment industry and within the latin community.

Create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial success.

Rostering, scheduling and management of entertainment staff and overseeing their performance.

Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications & experience

Proven experience as a Conference and Event Manager, preferably within the hospitality industry.

Strong networking skills and ability to cultivate relationships with stakeholders.

Fluency in English and Spanish.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in budgeting and financial management for events.

Detail oriented with strong organisational skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
