Salina Cruz Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated full-time Restaurant Manager to lead operations at their vibrant Nobby Beach venue on the Gold Coast. With a strong focus on team leadership, guest experience, and high service standards, this role involves overseeing daily operations, staff training, customer satisfaction, and compliance. Ideal candidates will bring at least three years of management experience in hospitality, strong communication and organisational skills, and a passion for delivering quality dining experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Tasks & responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and a consistent guest experience, with a focus on delivering outstanding and hospitable service to both loyal and new customers in a high-paced, quality-focused environment
  • Lead, train, and support our front-of-house team with a focus on culture, performance, and hospitality, ensuring they have the energy, enthusiasm, and guidance needed to deliver an exceptional guest experience
  • Maintain financial oversight including budgeting, inventory, and cost control, while having the opportunity to complete managerial duties during non-service times once the team, guests, and service are prioritised
  • Uphold our high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and compliance, consistently maintaining the reputation of our venue
  • Drive customer satisfaction by responding to feedback, overseeing service flow, and maintaining positive guest relations, especially during our busiest periods in the evenings and on weekends
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen, bar, and ownership team to execute service and event concepts, aligning operations with the overall vision and standards of the venue

Qualifications & experience

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management role, including within the hospitality industry, with at least 12 months in a senior managerial or team leadership position across both restaurant and bar settings
  • Relevant qualification at a Diploma level or higher
  • Proven leadership with the ability to motivate and guide a team, leading from the front and sharing professional knowledge through structured training and follow-up to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes
  • Strong understanding of hospitality operations and service delivery, with demonstrated expertise in food, beverage, and service knowledge
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, FOH/bar staff, upper management, and key stakeholders
  • Passion for hospitality, with a calm, confident presence under pressure, thriving in a busy and sometimes high-pressure environment while remaining professional with both guests and the team
  • Willingness to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, aligning with peak service times and team requirements
  • Familiarity with systems such as table management (e.g. SevenRooms), POS (e.g. Lightspeed), rostering (e.g. Deputy), and compliance (e.g. Safe Food Pro) will be advantageous
  • Able to positively influence the team to drive key financial KPIs including sales and wage targets
  • Constructive and collaborative in approach, maintaining a positive and solutions-focused mindset when working with colleagues and management

You will:

  • Have the right to take up full-time work in Australia
  • Have a high proficiency in computers and restaurant operating systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, POS Systems, Timesheet and Scheduling Systems, EFTPOS, Canva, etc
  • Are able to communicate confidently and clearly in English, both spoken and written
  • Hold a valid RSA
  • Hold a valid clean driving licence

The following qualities will be desirable for the role, but are not essential:

  • Sales background
  • Training background
  • Events management
  • RMLV licence holder
  • Tequila or wine sommelier experience or qualification
